Important information

This year, registration is being run through Little League of America (a new requirement).  Returning families will notice some new questions during the registration process.  The new questions include verification that your home address OR school address are within Central Little League’s boundaries. 

While you DO have to answer the address questions, you DO NOT have to provide documentation.  If your player is chosen for All-Star/post-season play, we will collect documentation at that time.

For 2025, We Will Continue to Offer "Pay What You Can" Registration Fees

Central Little League is a non-profit organization run exclusively by volunteers.   Our volunteers dedicate countless hours to train players, officiate games, run the concessions stand, maintain fields and equipment and administer the league.  

We’ve set the price at $25 because we want as many kids as possible to have the chance to play, but the cost to the league is $125 per player. We ask that all families who are able donate $100 (or more!) in addition to the $25 minimum; this will help the league buy uniforms, maintain fields, and ensure that ALL children can play.  For the spring 2024 season we had approximately 50 players that needed full or partial financial support.  We appreciate whatever you can give -- no amount is too small or too large. Don’t forget… the amount you donate over $25 may be tax deductible because Central Little League is a 501(c)3 organization.

Registration Process

To begin the registration process, in the REGISTRATION LISTING section below, please select between our baseball and softball programs, then select the appropriate division.  If you have any questions regarding which division is appropriate, please email [email protected] and we will help guide you accordingly. 


Equipment and Uniforms

Uniforms are included with the registration fee and consist of a hat and jersey. Players need to provide their own baseball/softball glove, pants (your coach will tell you what color for games) and defensive face mask (softball only). We recommend that players have their own batting helmet and wear cleats. If you do purchase a helmet, please make sure it includes a chin guard (baseball) or face mask (softball).

If you are buying new equipment, we suggest waiting until our special Dick's Sporting Goods appreciation days (historically in early March and mid-August), where you can buy equipment in the Charlottesville Dick's Sporting Goods Store at a 20% discount. The flyer for the discount will be emailed to all registered players approximately one week before the appreciation days.

Team Notifications

Families will be contacted by coaches when teams are formed in early March for the upper divisions (Majors and Upper Minors) and by mid-March for the lower divisions (Tee Ball and Coach Pitch).
