Majors is the most competitive division in Little League.
Spring season: In the Spring season players are drafted to the Majors division based on results of the player evaluations and the number of open spots in a given year. Players not drafted to a Majors team are placed in the Upper Minors division. Returning Majors players are placed on the team they were on the prior year. Teams compete for the League Championship and the winner represents Central Little League in the City Championship. Following the regular season, Majors players are eligible to be selected to an All-Star team that will play in the Virginia District 14 Tournament.
Fall season: The Fall Ball season is considered a developmental season for players that are moving up from the Upper Minors division. There are fewer practices and games. Team managers work on developing pitchers by rotating 3 - 4 pitchers per game. Teams also bat through the lineup to allow players more opportunities batting in live game situations.
