We are sure that many of you have already seen the email from Little League International recommending that all leagues immediately cease activity until May 11th.  We write you tonight to let you all know that we as a Board have discussed the matter and will be stopping all league-sanctioned activity per the recommendation.  The safety and health of our children are our utmost priority and additional insurance implications are reason enough for us to follow this recommended action from Little League.  Additionally, all three little leagues in the Charlottesville area (us, McIntire Little League, and Monticello Little League) and the Little Leagues from District 14 have agreed together to follow the same closure.

Assuming no further communication from Little League, the City of Charlottesville, or Albemarle County, we will plan to resume activities on May 11th.  We will work as a board to plan out game schedules accordingly making a full season for everyone.  The Board has agreed to reconvene on April 19th to assess the situation again and we will update our league at that point if we change any plans.
